Research Interests Core areas of interest are basin analysis and sedimentology, sedimentology of shales, shale diagenesis, and formation and preservation of shale porosity. Additional research areas include the nature of secular changes in shale facies, microbe-sediment interactions and microbial mats in fine grained clastics, and the sedimentary geology of Mars.
